Nature – Man – Steel

These three elements are forever intertwined at the top of Ammunition Hill.

Three parts of one story, each affecting the plot, as well as the memories and views of this powerful site.

As Channukah came and went, we feared that the pandemic and its restrictions would prevent the world from seeing the beauty of the legendary hill - which is why we gathered dozens of Israel’s top photographers to share this elemental experience with all of you.

Their special, unique point of view surprised and moved us. Through their lens, we are privileged to see what happens when one of these elements rises above the others.

Nature, uninterrupted by the treading footsteps of the thousands who generally visit, has once more demonstrated its might and power – rising like a waking giant to reconquer the hill.

And while nature is the clear-cut winner, this time there is no losing side at the fabled battle-site.
